<p class="caption">March 1915 - RMA Howitzer Brigade deployed the first of ten 15 inch Howitzer to the Western Front and took part in the Battle of Neuve Chappelle. These guns were the heaviest mobile weapons of the war. The following month the RMA Anti-Aircraft Brigade arrived with sixteen 2-pdr Pom Poms, each mounted on armoured lorries.</p>      </caption>

<p class="caption">2 August 1917 - Squadron Commander EH Dunning in a Sopwith Pup landed onboard HMS Furious. He repeated the feat the next day but was killed in a second attempt that day. This important first allowed the Admiralty to plan ships that could allow take off and landing on the same deck. This is seen in the first true aircraft carrier with flush deck - HMS Argus in September 1918.</p>      </caption>
